New Life for Maria Fly-Feeder...

Woke up with a spark of inspiration two mornings ago...  Amidst ALL the odd ideas and new  ideas swirling in my head I could not quiet the urge to breathe new life into TWEETADOPPLIN.  I wrote this book when I was just 13 and it is still evolving...  I had to make some drastic changes to the book and had my sister read it to my niece as a test subject.  Received news that she LOVED it and had asked for her to read it five more times!  Hopefully this will be a story and a book series that other children across the world will come to love just as much.  Time will tell...it always does...

Love Hard or Die Slow...

Deep...DEEP... inside I can't help but feel that LOVE is an extreme case of "kill or be killed"...guess that's why I'm "single" eh? I can't help but look around me and see a striking pattern...and well....(clearing throat) if I have to choose between being the badass bad guy or the victim...well...you know which I'd pick right??? lol ;)))

My Super Spartan Race 2013

Not sure what I got myself into THIS time...

Anyone who TRULY knows me...knows that I cannot back down from 2 things.  1. A Challenge and 2. A Deal.

With that said...I have officially signed up for a SUPER SPARTAN race in 2013...  Yes..that's right...MUD, WATER, FIRE, ELECTRICAL SHOCK, MILITARY STYLE OBSTACLES and God knows what else.  Pure INSANITY...but well...that's my sort of thing!  Pray for me!!! hahaha!

The Power of Google Translate

After nearly a decade of being incognito they finally caught up with me and I was given a jury duty notice. I get there and its the usual mind numbing chaos but since I was bored I noticed the guy in front of me trying to get the attendants to help him with his grandmother's case. She was given a summons for jury duty but is over 80 years old, does not speak english and can barely walk, she was with him. He finally gave up his attempts to reason with them and had her sit while he waited on line. I spoke to him about it for a bit and totally empathized. After waiting on a mile long line we finally get to the court house and at the door they say only she can go in. I went in and sat beside her then searched for my google translator...like an idiot I assumed she spoke chinese so wrote in mandarin "Do you speak chinese?" she tried to read it then laughed and said "I Korean" so I laughed back and motioned for her to wait a sec. I found the korean tab and told her I would find out if they had translators for her. She read it and smiled and nodded in thanks. I spoke to one of the officers and found out all the info she needed and communicated with her via my phones translator lol. While she had looked scared and apprehensive when we first walked in, she now smiled and patted my arm in thanks. She must have gotten even more comfortable because she pulled her pants up and showed me her wounded legs that were paining her and pointed at them. I nodded and "told" her she could go ahead of me and that we'd be out of there in no time, which we were.

Although this could have been an annoying experience I'm glad I was able to connect with a stranger in such a positive fashion...we all need that every now and then...a genuine smile from a stranger and a totally unexpected helping hand from somone with nothing to gain...

 

Lonely without Questmyre...

Feel so lonely now that I've finished Questmyre II: The Land of Mists & Mirrors...no longer have Robin, Roami and Free to keep me company...no new worlds to fall into...I am left in the cold hard reality of...what's "real"...

Oh! BTW I'm still looking for Beta Readers but have pushed my search to a broader audience via Amazon's KDP Prime Members.  Already had some book sales :)

Ice T and Me

Who do I see RIGHT when I step out my door??? ICE T omg!!!! Lol they're shooting a moving across from my apartment....I've been hiding inside and the moment I step out look whose sitting on my doorstep!!!

Now the funny part is when I see him I have my bike and I'm about to pass by wondering why all the cameras are there but then I see him laugh and I say "I know you but I don't KNOW you..."  He laughs hard and says "See that's what I'm talking bout" hahaha.   So I take this pic and say goodbye then ride off.  I come back later and have to stop while he's shooting Law n order near my door...I start talkin to the two girls who basically told me to stop biking and wait...then my friend the UPS guy "Jason" drives by and yells "You trying to get an autograph?!" hahaha so I get the go ahead to bike to my door but then I hear "Action!" so I'm looking confused and say "Can I go in?"  They say yes..I'm rushing to get my keys out of my bag...and they fall (like any good Horror Movie except I'm not blonde ;))  So they have one of their stage hands IN my building and I guess they cued him to open the door for the stupid chic (me) and he opens it and pulls me and my bike inside hahahahaha! I swear my life keeps ME laughing!

My FIRST NAKED MARATHON!!!

Completed my FIRST OFFICIAL NAKED MARATHON!!!! Okay okay, I wasn't naked...but I did just run 26.51 miles for the first time ever and I seriously can't believe it! I guess it's true...if you put your mind to it...you can do ANYTHING!!! :)

Saw, heard and witnessed TONS of weirdness during my run from Queens, to Randalls Island and then along the eastern coast of Manhattan.... I'll come back and update this post with all the details...right now I'm STILL trying to recover...been walking like a duck the last few days but all in all the feeling of accomplishment was worth every muscle ache and awkward "seated position".  I will also post the video a BF friend of mine sent me just days before the marathon which really motivated me to stop dreaming and start RUNNING!!!! :)
